Women United

Women United is a group of unstoppable women working together to ensure the future of the community they love. Their mission is to mobilize the power of women to advance the common good in Trumbull County. Members invest their time, talent, and professional expertise to advance causes they are passionate about.

Writers and Bloggers

Seeking bloggers and writers to provide professionally written content for blogs, website, social media and newsletters.  

WHEN:  This is an ongoing need. May register to write a blog or article on your own free time..  

MISC:  Subject matter will include Education, Income, Health and Basic Needs in Trumbull County and UWTC materials. For more information, call Cindy at 330-369-1000, ext. 29 or send an email.

American Red Cross*

Blood Drive Volunteers:  Welcome and greet donors, escort as necessary and assist with initial intake of blood donation process.  (1 shift at 4-6 hrs a month)

 

Disaster Preparedness Volunteers:  Community Disaster Education Members, Home Fire Preparedness Team Members and Pillowcase Program Presenters.  (4 activities per year)

Disaster Action Team Volunteer: Serve those affected by disasters. (4 on-call 6 hr shifts)

Disaster Recovery Volunteer:  Conduct followup interviews for financial assistance and recovery plans. (1 shift at 3-7 hrs a week)

Family & Community Services*

Volunteers are need to help strengthen, empower and enrich the lives of individuals and families through a broad continuum of services.  Family & Community Services provides food for the hungry, clothes for those in need, shelter for the homeless, counseling for individuals and families, guidance for the young and encouragement for the downtrodden.

Salvation Army*

Volunteer Bellringers to help ring and encourage donations in the communities they serve.

WHEN:  Now through December 24, 2018.

WHERE:  Shop 'N Save, Parmida and IGA in Newton Falls and various sites throughout Trumbull County.

Salvation Army*

Volunteer for Emergency Disaster Services

WHEN:  There is a round-the-clock need for volunteers. Volunteers must meet the criteria below.

WHERE:  Various locations and homes throughout Trumbull County.

Second Harvest Food Bank*

Volunteers are needed to sort and re-box food in the warehouse, help in the office, answer phones, help with the newsletter or work on special projects like Taste of the Valley and Harvest for Hunger. 

WHEN:  AS NEEDED -   HOURS: Monday through Friday: 9:00 a.m. to noon, Tuesday afternoons from 2 to 4 p.m., Wednesday evenings from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., and Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

Trumbull Family Fitness*

Volunteers are need to help establish and maintain an atmosphere that facilitates physical, emotional and spiritual growth which will enhance the quality of life for individuals and families in our community.

Trumbull Mobile Meals is in need of volunteer delivery drivers, packers and office support.
