United Way of Trumbull County conducted a survey of more than 40 agencies in the community to uncover key issues within the focus area of income. Results showed a need for programs in Trumbull County that provide support in managing limited resources with a focus on veterans, seniors and women.

The Trumbull County Partnership for Financial Education initiative was officially introduced in 2015.  The initiative takes a two-prong approach. First, basic financial education is offered to give those in need guidance in better managing resources and second, access to free income tax preparation for families and individuals with low to moderate income.
