United Way of Trumbull County and the Trumbull County Combined Health District are working together to collect and distribute homemade face coverings to frontline and essential employees to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Frontline and essential organizations include but are not limited to hospitals, medical centers, pharmacies, childcare centers with a pandemic designation, nursing homes, non-profit agencies, grocery stores, and take out restaurants.

Volunteers able to make and donate the masks are asked to package them (using plastic bags) in lots of 10, and to follow the recommended instructions provided by The Center of Disease Control and Prevention found online at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/diy-cloth-face-coverings.html
